RANS® Bitumen 85/25 is a hard grade industrial bitumen produced by refining selected crude oils. It is supplied in solid brick form, having a softening point of around 85°C and a penetration value of 25 at 25°C. RANSANTICO-BLP is a general purpose bituminous anticorrosive compound suitable for coating inside the water tanks, drums and other such applications. It does not have any harmful reaction with drinking water. It is lead free and resistant to acid, alkali etc. It is very effective against corrosion. The product coating protects the surface against moisture means acting as waterproofing agent. It is having good adhesive properties to the surface. RANSANTICO-BLP is manufactured under strict quality control.

Areas Of Use

RANSANTICO-BLP is used for general purposes, especially for protection of water tanks, chimneys, boilers, equipment, machines etc. The use of material is extended also to appliances connected with ammunition. It does not have any harmful reaction on drinking water.

Anti-Corrosive Paint is also used for protection against corrosion. It is used as paint forecast iron pipes, conduit pipes etc.

Paint is manufactured as per IS 158/1981 is recommended to be used for the protection of funnels boilers, apparatus and appliances connected with ammunition.

Paint manufactured as per IS 9862/1981 is black, lead free and acid, alkali water and chlorine resisting wand is suitable for painting of drinking water tanks, apparatus, equipments machines.

RANS ANTICO-AL (Aluminium or Silver Color Paint) is a cold applied highly reflective bitumen base Aluminium Coating. It is specially used over bitumen roofs, asphalt roof to reflect the Sun/U.V Rays. It is also used to protect from corrosion, and metal structure in order to reduce air-conditioning costs in summer.

Properties

• RANSANTICO-AL is easy to apply-no heating or thinning is required.

In application where heating of bitumen at site is not possible, and where handicaps of wet surfaces have to be overcome, waterproofing can be done using RANSKOTE-PMR.

The application of this product forms a tough surface within 24 hours (depending upon climatic conditions) and renders adequate protection against moisture and accidental damage. Because of its plasticity, it can resist cracking caused by movements or temperature changes. It is an ideal and economic method of providing long term protection to exposed insulation besides preventing steam losses.

RANSKOTE-PMR gives a coating, which when set, is impermeable to water and remains unaffected by attacks of industrial fumes, salty atmosphere etc. It resists low temperature cracking and also does not crack under the influence of strong sunlight. It is an emulsion of selected grade of bitumen with fibre & fillers.

RANSPLAST-CC is cold applied bituminous compound consist of bitumen, resinous oils and suitable fillers to form a smooth and homogenous paste in compliance with IS: 1580-1989. It is available in putty form.

Properties

• Ideal for use in situation where certain degree of expansion, contraction and vibration is expected, like around J Hooks used for fixing Asbestos / GI sheets.
• Cold applied and ready to use. Does not require specialized handling for application.
• Does not creep or flow when applied on vertical or sloping surfaces.
• Remains plastic for a considerable time and, therefore, can accommodate a good degree of expansion, contraction and vibration.

Areas Of Use: 
RANSPLAST-CC is recommended for joint sealing or crack sealing of porous masonry, concrete floors, wall and roof. RANSPLAST-CC is used for caulking purpose for crevices and vertical joints between plates, folded sections, wood joints etc. RANSPLAST-CC can be applied with trowel or spatula.

The general recommended guidelines for the application of the waterproofing system are as follows:

Surface Preparation:
The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all contaminants like dust, traces of curing compound, oil and grease. All surface imperfections and protrusions shall be removed and repaired. Structurally unsound and friable concrete must be removed and repaired with a suitable RANSCRETE-AP concrete repair mortar.

• In case of GI / Asbestos roof sheets, apply RANSPLAST-CC into the overlapping joints with knife and spatula after cleaning rusted joints and applying a coat of RANSBITU-PMR.
• To fix J Hooks for Asbestos or other roofing sheets, top of the holding boltsshould be covered with RANSPLAST-CC and a limpet washer fixed as cover.
• Locate the cracks and then widen them to a V section, about 25 mm deep.
• Brush out the loose particles from the crack and dust it clean.
• Paint the cracks lightly with RANSBITU-PMR. Press RANSPLAST-CC into the painted crack by hand or with a trowel and finish overlapping the crack by at least 25 mm on either side.

RANSBOND-STICK is a cold applied adhesive for fixing roofing felts and other insulating material on various surfaces. RANSBOND-STICK is recommended where the use of hot bitumen is either difficult or prohibited. RANSBOND-STICK is manufactured from select grades of bitumen, suitably blended with other raw materials, to achieve creamy appearance in semi liquid consistency.

RANSBOND-STICK is cold applied adhesive with following properties:-

• Well bonding with Asphalt, and more materials.
• Applied as Bitumen Grades for pasting purpose.

Areas Of Use: 
RANSBOND-STICK is ready to use and is recommended for sticking roofing felts on concrete, masonry, timber, asbestos, tiles and metal surface. RANSBOND-STICK is ideal for sticking waterproofing felts to roofs of railway coaches and buses.

The general recommended guidelines for the application of the waterproofing system are as follows:

Surface Preparation:
The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all contaminants like dust, traces of curing compound, oil and grease. All surface imperfections and protrusionsshall be removed and repaired. Structurally unsound and friable concrete must be removed and repaired with a suitable RANSCRETE AP concrete repair mortar.

• Apply RANSBOND-STICKon the cleaned surface @ 1.4 kg per sqm with a spatula or brush.
• Allow approximately 10 minutes before laying felt and sticking the same with mildpressure.
• Overlaps should be suitably sealed

RANSBOND-FLEX is a bituminous adhesive in the form of an emulsion of brushing consistency. It is recommended for the fixing of Expanded Polystyrene (Thermocole). It may be used to stick insulation sheets on to concrete, timber or metal and also to other Insulation.

Areas Of Use: 
RANSBOND-FLEX is recommended for the fixing of Expanded Polystyrene (Thermocole). Insulex Soft Boards and Fibreglass insulation slabs to all forms of structures where bituminous adhesive is advisable. It may be used to stick insulation sheets on to concrete, timber or metal and also to other Insulation sheets. It is suitable for use in cold storage too, to ensure good adhesion to walls and ceiling and may also be used for sticking Thermocole section used for the insulation of refrigeration pipe work. Special grades are available for fixing tiles, linoleum etc.

The general recommended guidelines for the application of the waterproofing system are as follows:

Surface Preparation:
Thoroughly clean both the surfaces which are to be stuck together. Particular care should be taken to remove dust and loose particles from concrete or plaster.

• Apply RANSBOND-FLEXby brush on both surfaces and leave to ‘break’ for 15 to 20 minutes.When the applied film turns dark brown to black, both the surfaces which are to be stuck togethershould be pressed firmly.
• Apply firm and even pressure over the whole area which is to be stuck and expel any trapped air. The adhesive will hold the sheet in place immediately, but no attempt should be made to pull thesheets. No additional work is to be done on the completed area for at least 24 hours as theadhesive required this length of time to obtain the strength of bond.

RANSMASTIC-FLOOR is Bitumen Mastic for use in water proofing of roofs. RANSMASTIC-FLOOR consists of mixture of selected grades of bitumen, aggregates and mineral filler in suitable properties to give it a semi fluid consistency when heated to 180degC. RANSMASTIC-FLOOR at this temperature is easily compressible by trowel. RANSMASTIC-FLOOR conforms to IS: 3037-1986.

Instructions for Use:
The application temperature should be between 5°C to 65°C. Application procedures may vary slightly depending upon site conditions. The general recommended guidelines for the application of the waterproofing system are as follows:

RANSMASTIC-FLOOR is to be heated upto 180 Deg C and applied by trowel as a compact,uniform layer, not less than 10 mm in thickness over the surface to be treated
